Mark Millar Teases The Lead Actress In EMPRESS

Comic book creator Mark Millar has yet another comic book headed to the big screen. This time, it's a sci-fi, space epic titled Empress, which already has a mystery Hollywood actress attached to play the lead.

Can you guess the Hollywood starlet disguised by the scarf and sunglasses? Fans have guessed everyone from Anne Hathaway to Krysten Ritter and even (jokingly)...Eddie Redmayne.  Make your guess now and check back on April 6th for the reveal.

Empress will be a 6-issue limited series that will follow a mother looking to save her children from a galactic despot.  That galactic despot just happens to be her husband and the father of her children.  The kicker, the Empress is originally from Earth, and she was born 65 million years ago.  The comic is not even published yet (it's set to be released this April) but apparently Mark Millar has already secured a film deal and there's even an actress attached to play the lead.

Empress is a creator-owned comic book series from Mark Millar and artist Stuart Immonen. The story is described as "The story centers on the wife of a galactic dictator (think someone akin to Ming the Merciless from Flash Gordon) who makes the decision to take her three kids and leave her evil husband. With the aid of a bodyguard, she tries to take her brood — Aine, her 15-year-old daughter who wants to be with her father; Adam, her gentle soul of a 10-year-old son (below) who she knows would not survive the trials ahead to be an elite ruler; and Puck, her 18-month-old — to her home world. Oh, and as an added twist, the planet of which she is queen is Earth … 65 million years ago."

Empress #1 will be published in April.
