Neil Blomkamp Would Love To Make A "District 10"

According to Fangoria(via firstshowing) the "District 9" director would only be too happy to step back into the world of the Prawns!

With "District 9" making an impressive $37.3 million over the weekend(already more than it cost to make!) and its fairly open ended climax, it was probably already assumed we would see a sequel somewhere down the road. And it looks like we will!

Here's what Blomkamp had to say..be warned, he pretty much reveals a major part of the movie in this short paragraph!

"I'd love to make a sequel, because it's so creatively rewarding to me; there's just something about [the story]," he told Fangoria. "It's my background mixed with the science fiction that I loved. I'd really like to go back to the world of DISTRICT 9—which, without Sharlto's character, would be a very different kind of movie. So I think automatically the two of us will be reunited again, should the public decide that this film is something they want to see and it's successful."

Even if Blomkamp decides not to make a sequel, we will certainly be hearing his name in the very near future as the young director is already being hailed as the next Spielberg or Cameron!
