Latino Review's latest Star Wars piece speculates that Harrison Ford's Han Solo will be killed off in Episode VII. I think that's quite likely myself, and Dave offers up some interesting reasons as to why he feels that will happen -- but along with that he also includes some even more interesting scoops: He's hearing that the original trilogy Storm Trooper armor has been assembled for the production down in the United Arab Emirates..which means of course, we're getting Storm Troopers. Not exactly a huge revelation, but it's good to know. But that's not all -- we've got some possible casting updates too. We'd already heard that J.J. Abrams had still one lead female role to cast, and it now seems it's actually 2: British Fish Tank actress Katie Jarvis, and the previously rumored Maisie Richardson-Sellers. If they are on board, who will they play? Obviously, just like every other new cast member's role, we'll have to wait and see. More at the link below.

Really the Han Solo being killed off thing is considered news and a spoiler,why else would Ford sign on! the guys wanted Han to die, there was no way in hell he would come back if that wasn't true and he wants another Indy movie.

Also nice more women the better.

Pretty easy to speculate Solo will die, but it's all based on Ford's wishes from 30 years ago. He didn't want to get stuck as Solo and get typecast.

No longer valid or he could have just turned down the role.

Yeah I wondered that! She had a child after he finished Fish Tank, so I think that put her career on hold for a little while. Glad to see she's making a comeback if this is true!

If these castings are confirmed, that should shut up the annoying people who raised pitchforks over the first casting news citing lack of diversity, while ignoring the fact that the movie wasn't done casting yet.

Thirty years after ROTJ & Storm Troopers still exist? The rebellion did a piss poor job of getting rid of the remnants of the Empire... Unless the troopers are now soldiers used by the New Republic

An aged Han Solo along with his pal chewbacca could go out together in a blaze of glory, can't see much point to having chewie around if they plan on kill solo off, unless one of the new cast members takes over the falcon after the death of solo and chewie proudly serves with them

JJ abbrams did say he wanted to give the old crew one last mission before passing on the torch, I can't see them killing off Luke cause the new Jedi academy needs a master after all

that brown skinned gorl is the daughter of lando and liea. and that horse faced kid we saw the other day is the daughter of han and liea, making them half-related.

except liea never bothers to tell them, so they end up fornicating.

then in the next movie they pretend it was just "platonic" but we know.....

It's so rare for a beloved character/hero to die in the movies anymore. The studios are so worried about losing money if they upset a segment of the audience.

I think Han could have an amazing heroic death that would be fitting for the series. As a kid I always imagined the adventures of the main cast continuing on an on, but I never ever thought any of them died of old age. Star Wars harkens back to the old days of the medieval knights or samurai where noble warriors preferred to die in battle. I'd love for Luke to become the master of the new generation of Jedi, but I think they both should die in battle. It's the sacrifice that Obi-Wan and many others made before them. It's their turn. It would give more weight to the story of the younger characters trying to fill those shoes and live up to the legends. Some punk kid is never gonna look at old Han and think "He's still a BA. I wan be him when I grow up". NO MUTT AND PAPA INDY TOMFOOLERY THIS TIME!!!!!

He wont die in Ep 7. If he does die, it will be Ep 8 to pass the torch to a new character (maybe one of his kids).

He should die by having Liea eti an ecapepd on he Faco after they've been attacked. They stare at each other and Han says "I love you" and Liea should say "I know". Then He ejects her escape pod to save her and does a suicide run and dies in the Falcon.

Perfect ending.
