Set on a council estate in South London on Bonfire night, the film follows a gang of youths, Moses (John Boyega), Pest (Alex Esmail), Dennis (Franz Drameh), Jerome (Leeon Jones) and Biggz (Simon Howard). While they are mugging nurse Sam (Jodie Whittaker), a fiery object falls from the sky, crashing through the roof of a parked car near them. When they investigate, they discover a creature who was part of the meteor and kill it. Soon more aliens follow and the gang have to defend themselves from them.

Attack The Block opens in the UK on May 11.

@SelinaKyle

i believe Hollywood is too scared cause they feel Americans dont understand the London accent. i found it funny when American films are released here with characters with a southern character with a stronge accent we dont complain.

the accents that you Americans wont understand are people from Newcastle they accent is very stronge.

@jazzman hollywood has that very same problem with Guy Ritchie films... and thats why he had Brad Pitt in "Snatch" speak with the strongest/slangiest accent...kind of a f-u to hollywood.

@jazzman - I don't mind the British accents and slang especially since I work with one of your fellow Brits from Yorkshire.

@SelinaKyle - I hate when Hollywood uses the fake southern accent. I am a Southerner, born and raised, and NOBODY down here sounds like that. You may come across someone occasionally with a slight twang, but nothing like they portray it on film. I especially hate when they use the phrase "I do declare". I have never heard anyone say that in my life. We do say "yall" though :)

This is not a London accent. This film looks as bad as they come. White scroats trying to speak like rappers but are too thick to get that they arn't rappers. Terrible, terrible film. And Nick Frost stopped being funny 5 years ago.

Are you kidding me? Look at these little British kids acting like they are thug life. Haha!! Come on.

Stop trying to act like Americans, please. London is not a rough area. Leave the bad ass street movies to us... AMERICANS.

Are the police in England allowed to carry guns yet, or are they still carrying "bobbies?"(Thats prob not what they are called.) Haha. EPIC FAIL, England.
