In Summer 2013, pioneering director J.J. Abrams will deliver an explosive action thriller that takes Star Trek Into Darkness. When the crew of the Enterprise is called back home, they find an unstoppable force of terror from within their own organization has detonated the fleet and everything it stands for, leaving our world in a state of crisis.

With a personal score to settle, Captain Kirk leads a manhunt to a war-zone world to capture a one man weapon of mass destruction. As our heroes are propelled into an epic chess game of life and death, love will be challenged, friendships will be torn apart, and sacrifices must be made for the only family Kirk has left: his crew.

Be sure to pick up the new issue of Empire which has plenty more on Star Trek, Star Wars, and J.J. Abrams.

This movie is going to be great, one thing I hope they do is give Bones a larger role if possible.

Everyone hit the gym. Good. Get the STAR WARS cast to do the same.

lol@the complaints. One of the best EMPIRE covers they've made. It's not a movie on paper. It's a magazine cover.

It takes balls to have your big villain be a regular-looking guy named John Harrison. But that is the point of Star Trek - to boldly go WHERE NO MOVIE HAS GONE BEFORE!

Cumberbatch will be awesome. Can't wait.

I'm pretty sure that's not Transamerica's location in relation to Golden Gate. It's way too close and way too big. In fact, the bridge does not point in its direction.

i am really sick of this altered triumvirate Abrams is shoving down our throats. It's Kirk, Spock and BONES. lose this Uhura bullshit and get it right.

@ Legolas:

It's all about colors. Gold, red, blue looks better on a magazine cover (or poster) than gold, blue, blue. It's that simple.
