New Trailer For Sci-Fi Alien Western, DEFIANCE

The footage release so far has looked intriguing to say the very least. In a long line of sci-fi, space dramas, can Defiance find an audience on Syfy? Do you think the show looks good enough to warrant coverage here at CBM?

I'm getting a small Firefly vibe from this show. Not saying it will be anywhere as good as Firefly but the visuals definitely bring that show to mind which I guess shouldn't be too surprising considering this is a sci-fi western as well. The show debuts April 15,2013 on the Syfy channel.

Defiance is an upcoming American science fiction television series which is being developed for television by Rockne S. O'Bannon. The series is being produced in collaboration with Trion Worlds who are producing a Defiance MMO video game which will be connected to the series. Defiance stars Grant Bowler as Jeb Nolan, the local lawman in a refugee camp known as Defiance. The series will be broadcast in the United States on the cable channel Syfy, and is being produced by Universal Cable Productions.

Defiance is set to premiere Monday, April 15, 2013 at 9:00 pm Eastern/8:00 pm Central.

Probably not, as there is no comic book that has anything to do with it. I thought maybe, then I realized that guy is not Christian Slater. Ok maybe its good...

Space western theme...hmmmm...maybe at some point the cast will have to leave the camp and start taking on odd jobs in a small cargo ship, which they'll name "Defiance"...

@blackandyellow - 42 does look good, however the trailer also looks like it summarises the entire movie, so no need to see it now I guess.
Oh yeah, as for Defiance - is there a comic book?

i think it looks pretty damn cool for a TV show. i'll wait to hear some reviews first b4 i give my opinion though.
