Swedish actress Noomi Rapace (
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo,
The Girl Who Played with Fire,
The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets' Nest) talked to
Cinematical about the recent reports that she will star in the Ridley Scott's
Alien prequel.
First, she shared her thoughts on the whole franchise:
"I loved Aliens, and I saw it when I was a teenager. It was something completely new, and for me, I remember when I saw it, I was like, wow, what is this?"
Even though it is not confirmed that she will be in the prequel, Rapace did say that she had meetings with Ridley Scott:
"I would love to work with Ridley, but there's so many rumors. But I've met him a couple of times, and it's amazing for me, but he's said he's a big fan of my work, and I'm a really big fan of his work so I would love to work with him. But we'll see."
She continued saying
"So actually the films I've done, and also the film I'm doing now with Guy Ritchie, it's very far away [from Lisbeth Salander], but it's not like I've been looking for that. That's what people have offered me, and I have been reading hundreds of scripts, and I think that the only thing that I have to know is that I in my heart want to do it. I can't do it because it's a good thing to do, or because it's well-paid; I have to find something that hits me."
There you go. Even though it's nothing official, I would love to see her in the Alien prequel. If you haven't watched "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo," go watch it. You will not be disappointed. She is flawless in that film.
