In the Power Rangers TV show, the Putty Patrollers are the standard army unit deployed by Rita Repulsa. Despite being neither particularly strong, intelligent, nor resilient, their basic power of numbers allow them to be a regular challenge to the team, and thanks to some more toys for the upcoming reboot, we now know that redesigned versions of the villains will appear on the big screen.
As you can see when you compare what's in the banner image above with these toys, they've undergone a pretty drastic redesign as skinny guys in spandex probably wouldn't cut it in 2017!
However, while I'm tempted to call this an improvement, there's a very good chance that we're just going to end up with a couple of awful grey CG lumps running around the place. They definitely look pretty generic anyway and based on the rest of the movie's special effects who knows how good they'll end up looking. We'll just have to wait and see, but let us know your thoughts in the usual place.
