Earlier this week, the news broke that a number of actors from the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers cast will return for a reunion special on Netflix titled Once & Always

Inevitably, many fans of the long-running franchise have questioned the omission of certain people, including Amy Jo Johnson, the original Pink Ranger. While we're expecting at least a few surprise cameos, the actress has confirmed that she won't be among them.

Recently, Power Rangers has received praise for casting its first full-time female Red Ranger, but Johnson has indicated that producers failed to offer her a fair amount to suit up again (prompting many on social media to question whether there's some inequality with what male and female actors are paid for their respective roles).

"For the record I never said no...I just didn’t say yes to what was offered," Johnson said (via SFFGazette.com), not giving too much about what happened away. "But other fun stuff is in-store! Looking forward to watching my friends kick ass!"

In Johnson's place will be Catherine Sutherland, a later version of the Pink Ranger. That's worth getting excited about too, but we are disappointed the actress won't be joining her fellow co-stars!

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always sees the heroes come face to face with a familiar threat from the past. In the midst of a global crisis, they are called on once again to be the heroes the world needs. Inspired by the legendary mantra from the franchise 'Once a Ranger, Always a Ranger,' Once & Always reminds everyone when you become a Ranger, you are always a part of the Ranger family and always welcome.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always is set to premiere on Netflix on April 19.
