This film was AWESOME. I want ten more movies now; I can't wait for the sequels. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that this film was better than "The Wrath of Khan" and "Undiscovered Country;" Those WERE my favorite Trek films, but not anymore.
The film never lets up; it gets started and it never stops. The action scenes were amazing and never overly played out. The acting was spot on. Each actor portrayed their respective character perfectly IMO. Pine, Quinto and Urban stole the show as the young Kirk, Spock, and Bones; Nemoy, or course, was amazing as always as old Spock. ...oh yeah, I can't forget about Bana's Nero character; he was one hell of a villain in this movie - very multidimensional (the perfect Trek villain).
Also, if you were a fan of the original series and older movies you will be happy to hear that there are some nice litlle easter eggs for you to help "bring you back" to the past; I won't say because I don't want to spoil it for you, but I was very excited to see them.
Oh yeah, and for those of you complaining about Anton Yelchin's Rusky impression...THAT'S THE WAY RUSSIANS SOUND; believe, me I know. I speak Russian, and I have known many Russians before. Besides, Anton's parents are Russian; you'd think he'd be accustomed to the tongue and dialect...just saying.
Anyway, it was a great movie. I highly recommend it to Trek fans and non-Trek fans. Do yourself a favor and watch this movie in theaters while you still can.
I promise, you will be very happy that you did.
Live long and prosper LOL...I'm a Trekkie now.
