These two giants of Sci-fi will finally meet in a new comic series from IDW and thanks to some digging by Bleeding Cool we now know the title, as well as which classic villains from both properties will feature..

The series will be called Assimilation. It will feature the Borg and the Cybermen. It is written by Scott and David Tipton, who wrote a number of Star Trek comics for IDW, as well working on IDW’s Infestation crossover series. It will be drawn by J.K. Woodward, best known for his Fallen Angel work for the company.

Many feel that something like this should have happened when there was still a chance for some type of TV crossover, but alas that was not to be. Who and Trek fans will have to be content to see what kind of adventures these icons get into on the page for now.

I never saw his article, I was offline all weekend. Mine has extra info which I would have posted whether that image was present or not. Now stop whining, Thorverine himself wouldn't have any issue with this so I have no idea why you would.

Ror, save the Snorefest and exclusive cameo news for Thorverine.

I yawn just thinking of what a Dr. Who and Star Trek Crossover would be like...

Cool, I mean the Doctor's the best and Star Trek is pretty good but doesn't this desecrate the Doctor Who universe seeing as they have referred to star trek in episodes past such as "the beam me up, star trek teleport!"

I'd rather see the good Doctor on Kirk's Enterprise, but whatever. It sounds interesting.

Trek TNG was a limp noodle until they introduced The Borg. They propped up a lot of the Trek TV/Movies that followed too. Only Voyager dropped the ball with the Janeway Borg - I nearly coughed up a nut laughing at how bad she looked. But great villains make great films/TV. And they were very much influenced by Dr Who's Cybermen - visually, and Daleks - psychologically. Feel free to HATE. Time's a wasting!
