So where do we go from here. Mr. William Shatner apparently wants to be in the next prequell of Star Trek. It was reported Shatner had lunch with JJ Abrahms recenty & get this watch the Latest Star Trek movie. No Joke! He was quoted saying "They did a wonderful movie. J.J., I think of him as a buddy, he's a great director and I'm sure when the right time comes he'll make the right decision (and cast me)."

If that is not ass kissing I don't know what is. Everyone knows I am a big Trekkie on here. But come on. Lets move forward already. So a lot of u will say your not a Trekkie & like Star Wars better, I know. But for Shatner to put his foot in his mouth & going back on his word for not wanting to see this film is so hypocritical of him. Someone smells $$$$$

I hope he isn't. What it would mean is yet another time travel movie and I'm pretty tired of those. We had time travel in movies 4, 7 (sort of), 8, and 11.

@Bleedthefreak:
the new Star Trek takes palce in an alternate universe from the mainstream Trek films. In the movie, Star Trek Generations, Kirk suffers one of the most crappily composed death scenes in cinema history.
originally, a scene was scripted to include a cameo for Shatner in the form of a recorded birthday gift to Spock.
unfortunatley, Shatner and Abrams had "creative differences" and the scene was cut.

Shatner says he will not do a cameo so it seems unlikely! The scene with the holo shatner was really good and I wish they had filmed it!
