STAR TREK: PICARD Season 3 Trailer Features Returning Enterprise Crew Members Along With A Premiere Date

Paramount+ has dropped a new trailer for the upcoming third and final season of Star Trek: Picard, and it brings back a lot of familiar faces from the Enterprise...along with a long-overdue premiere date!

Paramount+ has shared a new teaser for the third and final season of Star Trek: Picard (via SFFGazette.com), confirming the series will return to our screens on February 16, 2023. We'd been holding out hoping for this year, but as the Holiday season nears, that's not too long of a wait.

With this news comes a new teaser for the show featuring Jean-Luc receiving a distress call from Dr. Beverly Crusher. From there, we see what appears to be the Starfleet Headquarters in rubble, and the return of Will Riker and fellow Enterprise crewmates Geordi La Forge, Worf, and Troi as they tell their old Captain, "Wherever you go, we go."

Seven of Nines also appears aboard the new U.S.S. Titan before the crew embarks on what looks set to be their final mission.

Filmed back to back with season 2, LeVar Burton's Geordi La Forge, Michael Dorn's Worf, Jonathan Frakes' William Riker, Gates McFadden's Dr. Beverly Crusher, Marina Sirtis' Deanna Troi, Jeri Ryan's Seven of Nine, and Michelle Hurd's Raffi will be among those joining Sir Patrick Stewart in the series.

Talking about season 3 during this year's San Diego Comic-Con, Stewart said, "I realized that I was beginning to experience Jean-Luc Picard, to a point where I didn’t know where he began and Patrick Stewart left off. I was sold because the emphasis was on, ‘Who is Picard?’ Because we don’t know."

"As far as season 3 is concerned," the legendary actor continued, "he’s having to acknowledge that there was an incident in his youth that had shaken him so profoundly."

Paramount+ has proven to be a great platform for the Star Trek franchise, even with big screen plans still very much up in the air (the next movie recently lost director Matt Shakman after he decided to helm Fantastic Four for Marvel Studios instead). A Star Trek: Discovery season 5 sneak peek has also been shared today and you can find that below as well.

@IronGenesis - “Let’s fly” is so cringey, it’s painful to watch. It’s like a 16 year old wrote it thinking they were epic, but they’re really just a high schooler trying to sound like a grown up.

Looks like this 3rd and final season will correct the one main problem with the last season, in that it was primarily earth-bound in lieu of being space centric. The trailer looks good. I have hope that the show will go out with a bang. Fingers crossed of course.

This shoulda been season 1. Making Picard a android was so dumb. This will be bad because Kurtzman is a hack.

I’ll watch the 3rd season and hope that it’s not worse than the last one.
