According to Latino-Review, Christina Chong (who was recently named as the lead actress in Sergio Mimica-Gezzan's live-action Halo: Nightfall) has landed a role in J.J. Abrams' Star Wars Episode VII. There's no word on who she will be playing, but as the production is shooting in the UK, it shouldn't really come as too much of a surprise that they're scooping up a few addition British talents.

The site don't have any additional details on who the actress will play, but looking at some of the work she's done in past could indicate that she'll have some action scenes to tackle! We'll be sure to keep you updated, but considering the movie was initially criticised for a lack of women and diversity, they certainly seem to be taking things in the right direction. What do you guys think?
