Lucasfilm and Cartoon Network have released a pair of clips, one from this week's episode of Clone Wars, "Pursuit of Peace," as well as a teaser for a January episode featuring Count Dooku and one of Darth Maul's people.

Its not DarthMaul its another character from the same race. by them using this new guy we get more info about Maul and his species in general so thats where the "secrets" come in.

Why does everyone keep thinking this is Darth Maul?!

News flash it is not Darth Maul...it is a brand new character...who is of the sames alien species as Darth maul..his face paint aint even the same color!!

And this is not his rise before Episode 1...clearly that is Count Dooku in the video training him...so how would that make sense when Darth Sideous trained Maul?!

The race is called Zabrak, Maris Brood and Agen Kolar are both also Zabrak, Maul just looks different because he is covered in tattoo's.

Its so stupid that the bring on "Darth Maul's Brother" clearly just some lazy half assed way of trying to resurrect a bad ass character. They did the same thing with Force Unleashed 2, the secret apprentice was badass and then they kill him off in the first one n lazily bring him back in the 2nd one as his clone. either kill the character off or don't, don't try n rehash the same shit as a "new character"

Darth Maul and Savage Oppress are of the same species called the Zabrak (also called Iridonian because of their homeworld Iridonia. The character Bao-Dur from KOTOR 2 was of the same species.
