Tickets are now officially on sale for the highly anticipated Star Wars prequel, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

To celebrate, Lucasfilm has released a brand new TV spot with some new footage scattered throughout, including new shots from the Scarif beach battle, and what looks to be Grand Moff Tarkin observing the construction of the threatening Death Star.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is directed by Gareth Edwards and stars Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, Riz Ahmed, with Jiang Wen and Forest Whitaker. Kathleen Kennedy, Allison Shearmur and Simon Emanuel are producing, with John Knoll and Jason McGatlin serving as executive producers.

The movie opens in U.S. theaters on December 16, 2016.

@Craigferguson67 - CGI seems likely....Episode III used a terrible looking mask. I'm sure he'll make at LEAST one appearance...question is, will he speak?

@MattBellissimo - I hope it's stock footage, pasted in to the new backdrops. As high on the technology as Hollywood is, the digital masks just really aren't where they need to be yet. Young Ford on West World is a prime example. It's incredibly distracting every time he shows up.

@MattBellissimo - During early production they said that they were trying to digitally recreate him based on footage from A New Hope. The only problem was the feet. There aren't any original scenes of his feet because he wore slippers on the set. I have faith though that Lucasfilm will be able to pull it off.
