We saw a clip from this the other day, but now the full 3-minute vid is online. See Mandalorian warrior Sabine Wren (Tiya Sircar) "tag" a Tie Fighter and take out some Stormtroopers in the second of four shorts leading up to the première of Star Wars Rebels.

"Star Wars Rebels’ continues the epic tradition of the legendary ‘Star Wars’ saga with all-new exciting, action-packed adventures. It is a dark time in the galaxy, as the evil Galactic Empire tightens its grip of power from world to world. As the series begins, Imperial forces have occupied a remote planet, ruling with an iron fist and ruining the lives of its people. But there are a select few who are brave enough to stand up against the endless Stormtroopers and TIE fighters of the Empire: the clever and motley crew of the starship “Ghost.” Together, this ragtag group will face threatening new villains, have thrilling adventures, and become heroes."

Star Wars Rebels takes place between Star Wars: Episode III and IV as the Empire tightens its grip on the galaxy and a rebellion begins to form. The series, executive produced by Dave Filoni, Simon Kinberg, and Greg Weisman, is scheduled to premiere in fall 2014 as a one-hour special telecast on Disney Channel and will be followed by a series on Disney XD.

Not bad, but I liked the other short better.

A thermal detonator to the face and barely even a scratch? I knew this wouldn't be as dark as the Clone Wars but that is pretty lame. I'll still watch my expectations aren't that high.

@elib After the 7 minute preview where 7 troopers get straight-up gunned down...I'm not going to blame moments where a cartoon acts like a cartoon.

@Doopie LOL. Well...one did hit Leia in the Shoulder in ROTJ.

The troopers being kinda morons reminds of Red vs Blue.

Was it just me that thought it would have been perfect if they didn't have the last scene showing the Stormtroopers alive?

@superotherside

I think this just showed us that this show doesn't have the "balls" Clone Wars had especially with the clone troopers. In Clone Wars Clone Troopers died often and many times horrible ways and so did many other people. More then likely this show will have very little death and the heroes will just be knocking out their enemies.

@pesmerga In the first 7 minutes of Star Wars Rebels, 7 stormtroopers die. And as far as comparing this to Clone Wars...

As I've said before "I think it's like this: If Season 3-6 of the Clone Wars was The Batman Animated Series/Gargoyles of Star Wars.

Star Wars Rebels will probably end up being the Spectacular Spiderman/Avatar: The Last Airbender of Star Wars."

Argh why are the TIE fighter wings so short? That's gonna drive me nuts.

Again, why is death so crucial for CBM.com readers? I couldn't care less if no one dies at all, and actually am fine if they don't since my son will be watching this. What's more important to me is the story, dialogue, and action.

The animation doesn't seem as well polished as Clone Wars.Looks a little cheap.

ndwwrestler2 - Leia getting hit by a stormtrooper was obviously a mistake made by the production crew! Probably a rushed job for the new guy at the time!

@ruadh LOL, I don't get it either. I think only one person really died in Avatar:The Last Airbender (and that was during a flashback).

I think people put too much on how far a show is willing to go, based on one little clip/short.

@Dabojohnj I think they are operating on a smaller budget, combine that with the different style and we get this.

But I think as the show sells its toys and the show gets it's views, Disney will throw more cash at the production crew and will probably get better animation as the show goes on, just like the Clone Wars.

@DeusEXSponge LOL. My mistake, you're probably right.

I love how people are accusing this of being tamer than the Clone Wars show, completely forgetting just how childish the "movie" and first two seasons of Clone Wars were at time: "Stinky" the Hutt, Ahsoka's kid moments (admit it, she was thrown in for child appeal, but fleshed out as a full character later), the battle droids' comical antics, the good guys win perfectly every time, etc.

And they couldn't come up with something more original than Booba Fett's mask?

@Brady1138, I didn't forget. I actually didn't even make it through the second season due to the things you mentioned. The movie was one of the very few times I wanted to walk out of a theater.

I want to see a storm trooper turned to the rebel cause. I hope this show deals with their humanity, perhaps not all of them really believe in the Empire, I would like to know what stormtrooper training is like, and if some of them are drafted against their will.
