@DoofWar - I think that is Lupita Nyong'o's character. Sadly, it's a CGI character, but I like that she is in the movie.

And I'm so excited for Gwendoline Christie as Captain Phasma!

I'm pretty certain this isn't Drew Struzan. This is definitely photoshop with filters thrown on to make it look drawn.

Tbh it's kind of messy in composition. Drew strives for simplicity and grandeur, this poster is pretty overblown and busy.

However, it probably matches well with the original trilogy posters because those tended to be very busy (Drew only did the Special Editions and the Prequel posters).

it's not another deathstar, it's a huge weapon that the first order blows up galaxies with instead of mere planets.


lukes not in the poster because hes pretty much being setup for the entire new trilogy, hes in the last like 1/8 of the force awakens.

Rey Skywalker is lukes daughter, Kylo is han and leias son. (The imagery in the poster gives away alot of significance).

There's clear intent with a dark side and light side of the poster. The Death Star is on the light side. Some kind of twist?
