New HAN SOLO Set Photo Teases The Recreation Of An Iconic Moment In STAR WARS History

A photo from the Han Solo set reveals that the upcoming Star Wars Story is going to delve into a piece of history fans of the franchise will know played a key role in the smuggler's life before A New Hope.

Those Han Solo reshoots are taking up a considerable amount of time but seeing as it's been reported that Ron Howard is redoing at least half of the movie, that probably shouldn't come as too much of a surprise. Regardless, to make sure fans don't get too caught up in those behind the scenes issues, the director has been sharing a lot of behind the scenes photos in a clear bid to help distract everyone.

The latest, however, is quite possibly the most exciting one to date. As you can see below, Howard has shared a shot of what appears to be a mine along with the caption, "Spicey?" What does that mean?

Well, the signs are pointing to this being a reference to the infamous Kessel Run, a.k.a. the route smugglers take to push spice which is mined from Kessel. Han made history when he completed that in twelve parsecs and it now looks like this Star Wars spinoff is going to revisit that moment for the first time in live-action. It makes sense as that's such a widely discussed part of history in this Galaxy.

As of right now, Han Solo is still expected to be released next May. Are you excited to potentially see the Kessel Run on the big screen? Be sure to let us know your thoughts in the comments section.

@VoiceofReason - The film was most likely going to be about how Solo gets the Falcon and completes the Kessel run. It's not much of a shocker or anything to get angry about.

Han said "it's the ship that made the Kessel Run in.." blahblah. He didn't say he was flying it then.

@KaneRomita - The way he corrects Rey in TFA heavily implies he was indeed flying it.

@KaneRomita - You are correct, but would Han really brag about it if it WASN'T him who did it?

@MattBellissimo -

"would Han really brag about it if it WASN'T him who did it?"

Yes... yes he would. He was trying to impress people when he said it and he got an 'I cant take you seriously' face in response.

@NoAssemblyReqd - I always find myself correcting Han when he corrects her.

He says it was 12.

It was less than twelve.

Maybe it was me that did the kessel in such a short distance.

I always was curious how that moment would be on the "Big" screen. I'm Hopeful that it will be a great scene and moment.

I love star wars but I literally don't care about this. It's almost like they run out of ideas to do a film.

Don't worry about SW reshoots... I know I'm in the minority here, but Rogue One was terrible and the reshoots were painfully obvious.

This is a movie that does not need to be made. I know Disney has to milk the SW property for all it's worth, but someday this bubble is going to burst. Comic-book movies, Star Wars, sequels, prequels. People are going to get burned out from this crap. Leave the mystery around Han Solo alone

@RebelCommander - I know I may be fooling myself but ever since this movie was announced I have been 50/50 about going to see it. And I stand by that, on my word, I really don't know if I am going to go see it...and that's a first for me with Star Wars.

The Last Jedi however.....
