That Obi-Wan Kenobi spinoff may be in the early stages of development but a new report claims that the movie already has a working title. That is "Joshua Tree," a name which points to the action taking place on Tatooine. The theory is that this is a nod to the Joshua Tree National Park in Southern California and while Tunisia is often used as a substitute for the desert, past films have shot here too.
This is a name which could change or it may even be a reference to the U2 album The Joshua Tree. Heck, it might even just be a random nod to a location Alec Guinness shot some scenes as Obi-Wan in.
However, with productions like Bumblebee and Captain Marvel heading to California, it's feasible that this is where Disney and Lucasfilm will shoot Obi-Wan Kenobi. We'll just have to wait and see but there's a lot of questions surrounding this spinoff, including whether Ewan McGregor will return.
