Writer Duane Swierczynski and artist by Fernando Blanco will make their Star Wars debut for Marvel with a new comic book that recounts how Rebel Alliance spy Cassian Andor and the glib Imperial security droid K-2SO first met.

On the new book, Swierczynski stated, "When I first heard about Rogue One, I was thrilled. A heist movie set in the Star Wars universe? Are you kidding? Never in my wildest dreams did I think I’d be invited to tell a small piece of that story. And it was even cooler that I was asked to write about the first meeting of Cassian and K-2SO — easily my two favorite characters in the movie. What can I say? I love bad-asses and robots."

The new title doesn't have an exact release date yet but should be hitting retailer shelves some time in August.  Will you be adding it to your pull-list?

The comic marks the fourth prose spin-off release from the successful Disney and Lucasfilm prequel which earned $1.056 billion from an estimated production budget of $200 million.

Only a handful of SW comics are worth reading, Marvel is not doing a good job.
Better re-read some od that Legends Stuff.

@Doomsday8888 - Darth Vader: Ghost Prison is great if you're re-reading legends material.

@Doomsday8888 - I completely disagree! Han Solo, CP30, Star Wars, Darth Vader Vol 1, Darth Maul, The Screaming Citadel, Lando, Shattered Empire, and Dr. Aphra are AWESOME arcs and comics...IMO. Kannan, Princess Leia, Obi-Wan and Anakin(GREAT ART), Poe Dameron, Chewbacca, and the Force Awakens are ok to sub-par. I'll pick this up for sure. I really can't wait for Darth Vader Vol 2. Vader's first mission....Order 66. Just a bit more than a handful are good and great IMO.

Yeah, couldn't really appreciate "Rogue One" because during the entire movie I was just wondering how Cassian Andor and K-2SO met each other

It is never enough to say that:

Force Awakens >>> Rogue One

I don't care about Poe's backstory in a comic, I don't care about C-3PO's [frick]ing red arm, and I sure as hell don't care about how K-2S0 and Cassian Andor met, especially when Cassian was barely a character in Rogue One.

Not everything needs a freaking prequel comic.

@NoMeaning45 - This needs to be said more. The comics are just the glue that stick things togethor. Nobody cares about cassion. Jyn would be better.

then again these are just made to explain and cash in on charectors

You guys are blowing my mind. Everybody I know claims Rogue One "is almost as good as Empire", except me. I thought I was alone in my meh-ness for this movie. Nice to see other people found these characters rather shallow & boring too. Good movie, but not great by any means.
