The
Star Wars franchise is known for creating droids that people will love for many ages to come. For example, when R2-D2 debuted in 1977, everyone wanted to own their own version of the adorable astromech. Then, 38 years later, BB-8 made his debut. The name alone speaks for itself. Aside from the lovable droids created in the many
Star Wars films, we've also seen other types of droids that weren't so cuddly (Grievous, the Separatist Droids, etc).
Actor
Alan Tudyk was tasked with playing the newest droid in the
Star Wars universe, K-2SO (also known as Kaytoo). After Tudyk said how he always dreamed of being in a
Star Wars film, he then revealed whether his droid was the cuddly type, or the unfriendly kind.
“Kaytoo is a little bit like Chewbacca’s personality in a droid’s body,” Tudyk said to
Entertainment Weekly. The 45 year-old actor then spoke on challenges he faced while playing the 7-foot-1 robot,
“I walked around on stilts for 6 months.” He then jokingly added,
"It’s uncomfortable at the urinals because everyone else is eye-level with your...” Lightsaber?
Tudyk goes on to describe his droid at the complete opposite of C-3PO, which means you shouldn't expect a lot of timidness on the part of our new enforcer droid. What do you think?
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is set to be released on
