Fans of the Dark Horse STAR WARS comics might be plenty surprised to find a couple of goofballs from yesteryear hangin' around the HAN SOLO spin-off. Recently-appointed director Ron Howard uploaded a photo from the set of the film that shows none other than Tag and Bink, stars of the miniseries Tag and Bink Are Dead.

Though somewhat of obscure characters, Tag and Bink have become cult favorites for older STAR WARS fans for their Forrest Gump-like adventures throughout the original and prequel trilogies, crossing paths with nearly every major character and accidentally influencing the overarching STAR WARS plots.

As for the film incarnations, Tag and Bink are portrayed by the film's screenwriter Jon Kasdan and first assistant director Toby Heffernan.

The characters' creator and writer of the Tag and Bink comics, Kevin Rubio, had a bit of a fanboy moment when he saw the image as well:

The as-of-now untitled HAN SOLO film is scheduled to open May 25th, 2018, and will star Alden Ehrenreich as the titular smuggler, Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian and Woody Harrelson as Beckett.

Didn't want this movie to begin with, but the choice to have Ron Howard take the reins after the Lord and Miller has piqued my interest. I wonder what kind of frankenstein movie we'll get when it's all said and done? I'd rather they not scrap everything Lord and Miller have done. I want to see how they stitch everything together. Already didn't care for it, this actually makes it interesting!
