RUMOR MILL: Adam Driver's Ben Solo/Kylo Ren Could Return In An Upcoming STAR WARS Movie Or TV Series

Adam Driver's Ben Solo/Kylo Ren quickly became a fan-favourite part of the Star Wars sequels, and if a new rumour is to be believed, the character could return to the big or small screen down the line...

As divisive as the Star Wars sequels undoubtedly were, Adam Driver's Ben Solo/Kylo Ren is a character most fans were able to get on board with. His story's end in The Rise of Skywalker was tragic, if mostly fitting, but a lot of moviegoers were disappointed that he was never given the chance to bring balance to the Force and continue the Skywalker/Solo lineage.

Now, a rumour shared by Kessel Run Transmissions' Corey Van Dyke points to there being plans in place for Kylo Ren's story to continue in some form moving forward.

It's unclear where in the Star Wars timeline this would take place and whether it would be on the big or small screen, but Kylo Ren could very easily be the villain in a live-action or animated TV series set during the events of the sequels. Spending time with him as a child is also possible, though a recent comic book series delved into the end of his time with Luke Skywalker.

As a result, it's hard to say what this return for the character could achieve and what it would actually add to his story. Despite that, more Kylo Ren on the big or small screen would be no bad thing.

He did give the best performance in the trilogy, even if the material he was given in the last one was complete garbage.

Although really, leave the skywalker saga characters alone. Star Wars needs a fresh start, something either set far in the past before the prequel trilogy or something far in the future, so they can ditch the baggage of the originals

@Nacho - Well would have helped them if they didn't ruin the original trio, easy way to get rid of that backlash, cut it out. Just do a group of new characters that can stand on their own

Well, I wouldn't mind this. He was my favorite character from the new trilogy and one of my favorites in the saga. Driver kills it in the role.

Haha! No chance. Adam Driver is a serious actor, he's not going to want to come back and play Ben Solo.

@AzulaCipher - I think Episode 9 might have soured Driver, since he’s been doing films like Marriage Story and Blackkklansman recently

@AzulaCipher - I don't think he meant "serious" as in tone. He meant "serious" as in the film is respected.

So yeah, Ben Solo is a more "serious" character than a "funny" character.

But TROS isn't as "serious" a film as his others like marriage story in terms of how it's respected.

@Nightwing1015 - Exactly! He was [frick]ing great in Blackkklansman and Marriage story.

Likely just a rumor. Also there'd be no point to more Ben Solo anyways. Just jump ahead at least 100-200 years and make new Star Wars content.

They just don’t seem to have courage to pull from the early drafts of Revenge of the Jedi.

Force Ghosts can return to human form.

Lucas served them a softball right over the middle of the plate. Just need the vision and courage to swing for it.

Driver was by far the best thing from this trilogy, so I don't mind seeing him return (especially if its set between TLJ and TROS where ghost Luke keeps haunting him)

That character sucked and was a huge part of the reason that trilogy is laughably horrendous.

Let’s forget that the sequel trilogy ever happened!

But I’m curious, imagine if Disney made a “new” movie showing the trilogy from Kylo’s perspective using all of his deleted scenes and flashbacks to when he was a kid.
Would Disney have to re pay Adam for that ?!
