"Writing dialogue for any of the legacy characters is as big a thrill as anything I’ve ever had in my life.  I said this to [producer Katherine Kennedy] that when I open up a Final Draft document, and I tab over to “Character” and it’s a character from the original films—to be nameless until people see them—but if it’s a character from the original films, just typing in those letters and then that being the recorded name in that name database for that script is as surreal, and perhaps more so, than anything I’ve experienced in my career. "

During an Interview with Collider, Star Wars: Rebels Executive Producer revealed that he has written dialogue for characters of the Original trilogy.  He didn't say who he wrote it for,  but there have been rumours that Billy Dee Williams has done voice work for Lando in Rebels.

I'm personally excited for this. What do you guys think? Comment below in the usual place.

@TheBlackNerd I can't recall all of the reports, but I think he's supposed to be writing a Spin-off.

He's also producing the Fantastic Four movie along with Neil Blomkamp's "Chappie".

Wow! Yeah I recall him doing business with the Fantastic Four and wow Chappie too? That's that upcoming robot flick with Hugh Jackman in it if I'm right? I hope he doesn't out too much in his plate, i guess that's the experience of obtaining growth in your writing.

Yeah. He's definitely doing a lot. If this is about getting experience and improving his writing, you have to respect the guy.

Although, if every one of those movies flop hard, it's going to be kind of hard to get a job.

Original Trilogy character. That sounds promising. It's also awesome that he holds a certain level of respect for writing the character and seems to be taking it seriously.
I can respect that.

The Original Trilogy characters are always welcome, but I'm more concerned about the EU. None of it is canon anymore and I really don't care about any of it except the first "Force Unleashed" game. "Rebels" is supposed to run into that same time-frame and I just pray they don't cut Starkiller out of the equation. Given that "Clone Wars" included Quinlan Vos and the Republic Commandos, essentially "canonizing" them even before the reboot became an issue, I don't think it's too much to ask or expect that Starkiller be given his due. Please?!

The thing about that Starkiller won't be the same from the force unleashed game. Vos being a good example of now being canon character but none of the other material he was in counts. It makes me wonder if Starkiller if he indeed does make an appearance will be written differently and will they make mention of his cool droid.
