Yes! Star Wars Episode 8 the Last Jedi has finally hit cinema’s the world over and we literally just got out of our midnight screening. In short- we freaking loved this movie!

Rian Johnson has made one of the most beautiful movies of the year and certainly the most visually stunning Star Wars film potentially of all time. Bold striking colors, sweeping panoramic shots and creative uses of transitions made the viewing experience a pleasurable and easy one but one we won’t soon forget. Add to this the fact that The Last Jedi also steps out from the confines of previous films and lore and seeks to expand the mythos of Star Wars into some unseen realms, at least for people who’ve only seen the films and don’t actively seek comics and novels.

Telling the story from multiple perspectives across the films 2.5 hour run time, the movie feels exceptionally well-paced making the length an easy one to sit through. Each tangent of the story, no matter who has the focus, is engaging and well written and all feature neat character arcs that come together nicely to form one hell of an epic movie.

Featuring some of the coolest scenes in Star Wars that literally had viewers in our cinema gasping and cheering, The Last Jedi is very entertaining if nothing else.

Divisive is a term we heard heaps going into this movie. Everyone said that this movie was great but would split the audience down the middle. Though there are a few moments that were both new and left of field for Star Wars, we thought that worked perfectly in expanding the lore and fit the tone of the movie. Divisive is such a strong term and one we feel is misused here. In fact we feel if these choices weren’t made, which resulted in a widely more fresh Star Wars cinema experience, viewers would have run the streets screaming for it to be bolder and to have used new ideas. This movie does just that and as such it feels completely different to any movie in the long running franchise has to date.

As always we have a review linked below for your viewing pleasure. Thanks hugely CBMer’s. You guys have been a huge source of support for our channel and we greatly appreciate it.

While I have no doubt this'll be a good movie I'm kinda scared to see it. Why? I just have a feeling that I may not accept any major big changes they talk about and it may distract me from liking the movie. What if I can't accept a character for being different. I mean there's nothing wrong with being different, you know diversity and all that but change scares me sometimes and it takes me time to accept it. I am Autistic btw though I can't fully blame it on that though it's something to keep in mind.

Saw it last night. I want to love it but I can't. It is certainly divisive. That audience RT score is shocking at 67 currently.
