As promised, a brand new trailer for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor was released during The Game Awards yesterday evening (via SFFGazette.com) along with official confirmation the sequel launches on March 17, 2023.

Picking up five years after the events of Jedi: Fallen Order, Jedi: Survivor is a third-person, narrative-driven action-adventure game from Respawn Entertainment, developed in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games. If the trailer is any indication, the stakes will be much higher in the follow-up, with new supporting characters, locations, and gameplay mechanics.

No longer a Padawan, Cal has come into his own and grown into a powerful Jedi Knight.

Carrying the memories and expectations of the Jedi Order with him, his crusade against the Empire has only become more perilous. The Dark Times are closing in - with enemies new and familiar surrounding him, Cal will need to decide how far he’s willing to go to save those closest to him.

The cinematic combat system returns with additional Force abilities and new lightsaber fighting styles. Players will be able to creatively leverage all these skills to strategically take on an expanded host of enemies, sizing up strengths and weaknesses while cleverly utilizing their training to overcome opponents and solve the mysteries that lay in their path.

Jedi: Fallen Order featured a memorable story, and mostly solid gameplay. However, everything about this sequel just looks like it's been vastly improved, and we have an inkling this could be something special. Story details are still relatively scarce, though the villains teased here look suitably formidable and Cal is clearly getting some new allies on this latest adventure.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC and, as noted, hits stores on March 17, 2023.

Well looks like the guy in the tube isn't a canonical starkiller. Not unless they gave him a drastic redesign.

Wonder who he is.

@Origame - if he's the same guy with the orange lightsaber, I could see it be Starkiller. The helmet kinda looks similar (but only a little).

I'm also wondering who the guy in the High Republic clothing and that Bode guy that pulls Cal up are.

@bkmeijer1 - I don't see them teasing a mysterious jedi like they did in the trailer only to reveal a completely different character as starkiller.

@Origame - only reason I think they might be the same is because the guy is in the bacta tank and the lightsaber guy has a breathing apparatus.

But I don't think Starkiller is gonna be in this game at all, so nor do I think he's any of the characters we see in the trailer.

@bkmeijer1 - but we see the guy later on with cut hair later on in the trailer. You can tell because it's the same eyes and skin color.

And yeah, it was probably just wishful thinking starkiller being there at all. But I do wonder who he is.

Fallen Order is the best SW game since Battlefront 2: the first

Looks like we'll be seeing a lot of new stuff, and that is great. Also like the rest what I'm seeing, even though I have no idea what to expect

Looks great. I really enjoy that this comes out in just 3 months. Great marketing outside of the marketing, to have the trailer so close to the release date. Not too common in video games.

2 things: I hope Merrin is more heavily involved/trained and they're just keeping it out of the trailers. Also, why why why with the crossguard saber? They better at least comment on how impractical it is and give me the option to leave that shit out.
