A Twitter group calling themselves "Remake The Last Jedi" has begun a campaign to remake the middle instalment in the new Star Wars trilogy, and they claim to have producers standing by who are interested in covering the budget.
Reading through the thread, it seems these guys really are serious about their quest to create a version of the film that is "as close to universally accepted as possible," and their posts have gained quite a bit of attention.
