Two days ago, Badass Digest posted some of the most fascinating Star Wars VII spoilers, which you can read here.. What most of you don't know, is that Badass Digest put out a second article that same day with some more info and some clarifications.

The new bits of info confirm some rumors that have been floating around about the character Attack The Block star John Boyega is playing in the film.
As others have said, Boyega plays a storm trooper. A storm trooper who basically deserts and teams up with Daisy Ridley's character.

Before you go questioning this info, Badass Digest declares, "Boyega as storm trooper is the single most confirmed piece of news I've ever written about in terms of sheer volume of independent sources who agree."

Also, there's been a lot of speculation/rumors linking the Morocco set to Tatooine, but Badass Digest hears differently: "One of my sources tells me that the desert planet in Episode VII is not Tatooine."

Star Wars: Episode VII - Actors John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, David Oyelowow, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, Lupita Nyong'o and Gwendoline Christie will join the original stars of the saga, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker in the new film. It's being directed by J.J. Abrams from a screenplay by Lawrence Kasdan and Abrams. Kathleen Kennedy, J.J. Abrams, and Bryan Burk are producing, and John Williams returns as the composer. The movie opens worldwide on December 18, 2015.

So that means the Stormtroopers stopped being clones at some point.

Interesting and very original if true.

@AlexLaChiusa

Definitely.

The ones you saw in Star Wars, Empire, and Return of the Jedi were not clones.

@DlAMONDZ

Some of it was, but most of it wasn't.

@AlexanderLykins @Humperdink

But didn't Temuera Morrison (Jango Fett) dub all of the Stormtroopers voices in the Special Editions of the original trilogy?

@Sipprelle

Why wouldn't they?

I thought the storm trooper's where clones from Jango Fett?

@MightyZeus

The originals were.
By the time you got to the films past the prequels an 'all clone' trooper army was done with.

The stormtroopers were made up of various races, not just clones. I'm sure there were some, but they all weren't still clones at that time.

The Stormtrooper Corps swell in size after Palpatine allows the addition of recruits and conscripts alongside the clones, though the replacement of clones by natural beings lowered the effectiveness of the Empire's famed soldiers.

Which might explain why they couldn't hit crap even though they were like 20 feet from it.

I always wondered if they stopped the cloning process or if something happened that halted it. Interesting idea.

I hope that's not true. I want him to be a Jedi.

I have read the script and the story is basically about how the destruction of the last Death Star opens a rift in space and time transporting Lando Calrissian and Nien Nunb back in time in the Millennium Falcon, they crash land on a Gungan settlement on Naboo killing hundreds of Gungans. This alters the events leading up to the Trade Federations blockade and resets the future timeline. Abrams told me and I quote "It's sort of like Star Trek into Darkness accept with lightsabers"

@SuperCat

He'll probably start out a Storm Trooper and end up wielding a Lightsaber at the end and we'll get some amazing John Williams score in the background.

I'm staring to think Boyega's character will have connections to that Leonis guy they're introducing in Star Wars Rebels.

Vin Diesel is too short to play half the roles he's been in , yet they make him seem like a Giant when you see him on screen. Tom Cruise as well.

Wasnt the Stormtroopers the army of the Empire? I know Ive read that the Republic hasnt returned 30 years after, but why are still stormtroopers running around 30 years later? The Empire still around? Who is in charge of them? And why would anyone still hire stormtrooper after that finest legion got their butt kicked by cuddly teddy bears?
