Didnt get to watch yet (Im at work) so forgive me if this is addressed:

These are great stories....

Its just that unfortunatly Disney has said that the only official Star Wars cannon is the six movies and The Clone Wars animated series.

Grand Admiral Thrawn, Mara Jade, Jacen & Jaina Solo, the Yuzahaan Vong, the Force Unleashed games, those 2 Ewok Movies.....considered nothing but fan ficton now.

So the chances of thee being a Star Wars movie being based after a comic book or novel instead of being original is slim to none. :(

Obi Wan deserves a film. Just to have Ewan back.

Ewan was easily the best Obi-Wan I've ever seen. I'd love to see a solo film revolved around him.

I'd love to see a solo Han film. Perhaps a younger version of him and Lando then toss in him meeting Chewbacca for the first time.

A young Han Solo would be less welcome than Shia ladouche being Indy jr.
Until the (inevitable) remake no one is Han but Harrison

But ewan as middle age obi wan - minus George Lucas - and yeah you've got a great opportunity

I remember when the fan service for Boba Fett took off. I thought it was funny because the guy met the most gruesome death this side of Alderaan.

@DrunkenNukem - I agree, but Hollywood is afraid that people won't go see it if it's not something they can identify with. Ummm...how about the fact that the title would have STAR WARS in front of it? Yeah, I'm pretty sure that'd be a solid selling point right there don't you think?

@JorL5150 - A young Han Solo film wouldn't be welcome eh? That's your opinion. I can't see sitting through 3 hours of watching Obi Wan walk around on Tatooine trying to figure out what he's going to do while (supposedly) watching over Luke. I mean WTF? He could've had Luke trained to be the greatest Jedi ever, but instead Obi Wan sits hides out and becomes a hermit.

"Oooh here ya go, Yoda. Here's another Skywalker for you. I hope he's not too old hahahaha!!!"

@RetroFit - Yeah... Some people don't think things through. They sound great in their heads I guess.

Just messing with you, JorL. Maybe you can explain to us how you'd see an Obi Wan film playing out.

@DrunkenNukem - Oh hell yeah. A Jedi Academy movie would be awesome. I bet we only get a reference or maybe a few scenes of it in the next trilogy though. I agree about having the 'original 3' as background characters. I'm pretty sure that's what will probably happen, given the huge cast that J.J. introduced. I just can't see those three doing much besides being teachers and mentors/parents to the new cast.

The movie just doesn't need to follow these books...

Personally I'd be good with no Darth Vader, Yoda or Han solo movies. We got 6 movies of Darth as a main character and an entire trilogy detailing his life before the dark side. With Yoda we know the story over several movies. With Han there isn't much to tell. Expand on characters that didn't have a ton of screentime. Lando would be interesting in how the only black dude and former smuggler in the Universe became the head honcho of Cloud City.

No to Darth Vader. Haven't we had enough in 6 movies. I would watch a young Yoda film. He died when he was 900 I'm sure he's got plenty of story to tell.

IMO, Darth Vader should be left alone. That character had his cycle in the original trilogy and that's how he should be remember.

@JorL5150 - I guess Gusto got a little too excited about the 70th Anniversary of D-Day? Geez... Thanks for the head's up!

I heard Gusto had the best job during D-Day though...

I think my boss is getting fired. So that means one of 4 things:
1 - I get promoted
2 - I get fired too
3 - I stay the same
4 - We go get drunk soon

Either way 4 is happening.
