UPDATE: THE LEGO MOVIE Directors To Helm STAR WARS Anthology Movie Focusing On 'Han Solo'

The Hollywood Reporter reveals Christopher Miller and Phil Lord (21 Jump Street) have decided that one of Disney and Lucasfilm's Star Wars anthology movies will be their next directing project. They're set to write, direct, and produce the release which will revolve around a young Han Solo according to the trade's sources. However, this isn't the same project that Josh Trank was attached to direct before he was reportedly fired as a result of his behavious on the set of Fantastic Four. That one is said to focus on the origin of Boba Fett, and is still searching for another director.
Where this Han Solo movie will fit into Lord and Miller's schedule remians to be seen, but the site mentions that, "They were to develop a Flash feature for Warners as a directing vehicle but now with the untitled Star Wars spin-off, that is likely off the table." The same goes for a third Jump Street movie, but this new won't impact that animated Spider-Man feature as they were never planning on directing that anyway. What do you guys think about this news? UPDATE: StarWars.com has now confirmed the news, and it seems like this is indeed the movie which Josh Trank was set to direct. Slated for a May 25th, 2018 release, the untitled release was written by Lawrence Kasdan and Jon Kasdan. The story focuses on how young Han Solo became the smuggler, thief, and scoundrel whom Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi first encountered in the cantina at Mos Eisley.
