A pretty crazy new Red Band trailer for Leigh Whannell's upcoming sci-fi action movie Upgrade has been released, and it's well worth a look. See Logan Marshall-Green take out some bad guys after the jump.

Blumhouse has released a new red band trailer for Upgrade, which is an upcoming sci-fi film from the producers of Get Out and The Purge.

The movie stars Logan Marshall-Green (Spider-Man: Homecoming, Prometheus) as a man left paralysed after the brutal mugging that results in the murder of his wife, who is approached by an inventor with an experimental cure that will “upgrade” his body.

He then sets out to find his wife's killers and... well, you can witness the ultra-violent fruits of his revenge for yourselves below.



Upgrade is directed by Leigh Whannell (Insidious: Chapter 3) and co-stars Richard Anastasios and Rosco Campbell. It's set to release on June 1.

I hadn't heard of this until now. I think Logan Marshall-Green is a very underrated actor and this looks insane, so I'm there.

I wasn't expecting what I saw. Wow. I, more than likely, won't be seeing this in theaters but I'll definitely check it out on Blu-ray.

Nice to see Leigh Whannell making his own break as a director.



His stuff as a writer has been pretty good and his directing debut Insidious:Chapter 3 was a nice addition to the franchise.
