Looks Like Christmas For 'Nancy' & 'Marv' In New SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR Clip

In this latest clip from Robert Rodriguez's Sin City sequel, Marv (Mickey Rourke) and Nancy (Jessica Alba) are confronted by a trio of bikers wielding some very big guns. Who do you think comes out of this situation still in one piece?

Sin City: A Dame to Kill For weaves together two of Frank Miller’s classic stories with new tales in which the town’s most hard boiled citizens cross paths with some of its more repulsive inhabitants. In Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, Dwight is hunted down by the only woman he ever loved, Ava Lord, and then watches his life go straight to hell. Chronologically, this story takes place prior to “The Big Fat Kill” (featured in the film Frank Miller’s Sin City) and explains how Dwight came to have a dramatically different face.

Sin City: A Dame To Kill For stars Mickey Rourke as Marv, Jessica Alba as Nancy, Bruce Willis as Hartigan, Rosario Dawson as Gail and Jaime King as Goldie/Wendy. New cast members include: Eva Green as Ava Lord, Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Johnny, Dennis Haysbert as Manute, Christopher Meloni as Mort, Jeremy Piven as Bob, Stacy Keach as Wallenquist, Jamie Chung as Miho, Ray Liotta as Joey, Juno Temple as Sally, Julia Garner as Marcy, and Josh Brolin as Dwight. The film arrives on August 22nd.

Is this a prequel or sequel to the first one?

@GL its a prequel, the books were written out of order. That's why Josh Brolin is playing Dwight insted of Clive Owen.

@GL - I keep hearing sequel. But Marv died. And Dwight seems to be in his old face. And Bruce Willis is back. And Manute gets his gold eye thing. So I am guessing prequel.

Rob, I agree. Brittany Murphy was smoking hot.

A Dame to kill for is a prequel to the first one. Although some of the storylines will by sequels.

Do you guys remember that weird period of history when the media kept trying to tell me that Helen Hunt was hot?

She wasn't.

Sorry B&Y. I capitalized "me" for some reason.

Yeah. She was and likely is gross.

No. Marv and Dwight's storyline happen before the ones in the first Sin City (that's why Dwight isn't Clive Owen and Marv is still alive). Jessica Alba's storyline happens after the one she had in the first one (3 years if I recall correctly), but before the one Marv had.

JGL's one seems to be before Jessica Alba's, as he is seeing playing poker with Roark.

Haha I just look like a crazy person talking about Helen Hunt for no reason there.

Most crazy people do talk about Helen Hunt for no reason. I don't know why I brought her up.

Yeah, I'm feeling a prequel. Since most of them died in the first one, I'm guessing its a prequel. But I've seen some scenes where Nancy is like trying to kill Hartigan for leaving her or something.

She's seeing him, like she is seeing a ghost. She is going crazy.

It's an anthology series set in the same world/city, so some stories happen before others, others after, and some at the same time.

Sin City is the finest cbm ever made, makes all of marvel n foxs and most of wbs efforts look like the unimaginative lowest commondenominator tosh it is.

Sin City 2 wont match the original, however if its half as good as the 1st one it'll be great.... just a shame Rourke looks to have put on a pile of weight.

Hopefully Hartnett gets an interesting little cameo again because his small part in the 1st was an excellent little scene or two.

Why? WHY?! Does this movie look worse special effects wise then the old one? I am so confused... Also Marv looks terrible. What happened to his face?
