Did You Catch These Unexpected MCU Cameos In The SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING Trailer?
We're not talking about Shocker or Donald Glover's mysterious character! Iron Man wasn't the only familiar face in the Spider-Man: Homecoming trailer, so hit the jump to see who else showed up.
The first trailers for Spider-Man: Homecoming were packed full of awesome moments, but did you spot these very cool nods to the wider Marvel Cinematic Universe? While we obviously know Tony Stark/Iron Man will be showing up here, it turns out that his father will be making an appearance too! As you can see, Howard Stark's face is on the wall of the science high school attended by Peter Parker.
The character has had a major impact on the Marvel Cinematic Universe since appearing in Iron Man 2 as he made his presence felt in Captain America: The First Avenger, Ant-Man, Captain America: Civil War, and Agent Carter. While this is probably little more than an Easter Egg for fans to pick up on, it's yet another great thing about the wall-crawler finally being in the same universe as The Avengers!
Talking of Earth's Mightiest Heroes, Bruce Banner also showed up in Peter's school. Despite being The Hulk, he's clearly still pretty well respected to earn a place up there alongside other science greats.
Starring Tom Holland, Michael Keaton, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Tyne Daly, Bokeem Woodbine, Marisa Tomei, Robert Downey Jr., and almost countless others, Marvel's Spider-Man: Homecoming is directed by Jon Watts and will be released on July 7th, next year.
