Empire Magazine's coverage of Sony Pictures' sequel to the block-busting animated Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse movie continues with a new look at our main protagonist, Miles Morales.

Here we see Miles, who will once again be voiced by Shameik Moore, looking like he has the weight of the world on his shoulders as he walks away from his concerned parents.

The young hero was put through the ringer in the first film, but he's going to have to contend with a powerful new villain (The Spot) and a whole host of new Multiversal wall-crawlers in Across the Spider-Verse.

Check out the new image at the link below, and keep an eye out for a new trailer.

Specific plot details are still under wraps, but the follow-up has been confirmed to feature multiple new incarnations of the wall-crawling hero. Peter B. Parker, Gwen Stacy, Spider-Ham, Spider-Man Noir, and SP//dr are expected to return, along with Insecure star Issa Rae as Jessica Drew, aka Spider-Woman, and Black Panther actor Daniel Kaluuya as Spider-Punk.

Spider-Man 2099, aka Miguel O´Hara (Oscar Isaac), will also have a more prominent role after debuting in the first movie's post-credits scene.

Joaquim Dos Santos (Voltron: Legendary Defender; The Legend of Korra), Kemp Powers (Soul), and Justin K. Thompson will direct. Phil Lord and Chris Miller penned the script along with David Callaham (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings). Lord and Miller will also produce with Amy Pascal, Avi Arad, and Christina Steinberg.

Miles returns for the next chapter of the Oscar-winning Spider-Verse saga for an epic adventure that will transport Brooklyn’s full-time, friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man across the Multiverse to join forces with Gwen Stacy and a new team of Spider-People to face off with a villain more powerful than anything they have ever encountered.

Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse Part 1 recently moved from October 7, 2022 to June 2, 2023, while Part 2 won't swing into theaters until March 29, 2024.
