Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse has now swung into theaters and next week, Titan Books will release an "Art of" book for the critically acclaimed animated adventure

We've rounded up a sampling of hi-res pieces from the book and they focus on characters like Miles Morales, Peter Parker, The Kingpin, and Prowler. A number of key locations from the movie are also given the spotlight but don't worry, there aren't any spoilers here! However, a glimpse inside Spidey's lair proves to be very revealing indeed.

Last night, Into the
Spider-Verse managed to earn $3.5 million during Thursday evening screenings so the signs are all pointing to this being a hit and it has a week to rule the box office before Aquaman comes along and no doubt takes the crown.

We'll keep you updated on the movie's box office performance over the weekend but, for now, click on the "View List" button below to check out this spectacular first batch of new concept art.

I finally saw it. I thought it was really good but I wouldn't put it above infinity war or black panther.

@MyCoolYoung

Kind of hard to compare those movies. It’s animation vs live action. Closest comparison would probably be the other Spider-Man movies.

@MyCoolYoung

And between this and Incredibles 2 I thought this one had the better story/script. I actually want to go back and see this in IMAX 3D.

@MyCoolYoung - I understand that...I really do. But it succeeded in ways other Spiderman movies haven't. Telling a cohesive story and keeping the audience invested the whole way through. 2018 has been the best CBM year IMO

@regularmovieguy - I haven't seen the incredible yet. The reason I brought it up was because I seen a lot of reviewers said it.

It's really good though

@MyCoolYoung

Yeah I was surprised how much I loved it. I’m not a big animation guy but I try to see the movies that are raved about.

Didn’t disappoint 👌🏻

@XBBShank - I agree. I'm not taking anything away from the movie. I thought it was dope I can't wait to revisit miles and that universe.

Only reason I brought it up was I saw a lot of reviewers say it. It's a dope movie

@BlackBeltJones

Mahershala as Prowler was also a highlight for me.

@regularmovieguy - he was great. Wish we got to see the full fallout of his criminal ways, as well as more exploration of his criminal life. It was alluded to that he was shady but only comics fans knew the full extent of who he was. My one roommate was surprised he was "evil"; she doesn't read comics but likes the movies.

She thought he was maybe a bit suspicious but never thought he could be a criminal.

The way Mahershala played him, he reminded me of my one uncle, who used to be involved in gangs as a teenager but got out. I grew up looking up to him like Miles did with Aaron.

@regularmovieguy - I'd watch a whole film about middle aged, disillusioned Peter. I hope he gets a spinoff or at least shows up again.

Superhero ennui FTW lol.

Some insiders are predicting Apple MIGHT buy Sony and in that case Spiderman fully goes back to Marvel

Marvel might actually have all their characters back

@WakandaTech - after seeing Into the Spiderverse I can say I would hate that, unless Disney would be willing to keep going with this universe. But I'm really surprised Apple didn't make a bid for Fox.
