SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME Star Tom Holland Reveals How He Hopes His Peter Parker Will Be Remembered (Exclusive)

SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME Star Tom Holland Reveals How He Hopes His Peter Parker Will Be Remembered (Exclusive)

In the final excerpt from our recent interview with Tom Holland, the actor reveals how he hopes his Peter Parker will be remembered after seeing the sort of impact Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield had.

We continue to hear conflicting information about whether Tom Holland will return as Peter Parker after Spider-Man: No Way Home. Producer Amy Pascal recently said another trilogy - set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe - is on the way, only to walk back on those comments at the world premiere.

Holland, meanwhile, appears to still be pondering his future as Spider-Man; chances are he will be back, of course, but nothing is guaranteed and his tenure as the wall-crawler could be nearing its end.

With that in mind, we had to ask Holland what lasting impact he hopes his Spidey will have on fans:

Spider-Man is a character who hasn’t been played in live-action on the big screen by many actors, just yourself, Tobey and Andrew. You will have seen the sort of impact their versions have had on moviegoers, but how do you hope your Spider-Man is remembered regardless of what the future holds in store?

That’s a great question. I don’t really know how to answer it. I hope people have the same feeling of nostalgia that I do towards Tobey and Andrew’s movies. I was a kid when those films came out and they made me so happy. I remember coming home, bouncing around and jumping off the couch pretending to be Spider-Man, so if there are young kids who remember that through my movies, then that will be enough for me.

It feels like Spider-Man: No Way Home isn't far enough removed from Holland's rearview to talk too much about his legacy as this character right now, but it will be interesting to see how things change by the time Uncharted rolls around (unless a new movie has been announced by then).

We're hoping to see more from the actor as Spider-Man, but it will obviously depend on how things pan out for the character in what's been billed as an epic final chapter of his MCU trilogy.

Spider-Man: No Way Home will exclusively be released in cinemas from December 15th!
