SPIDER-MAN 3 Star Zendaya Seemingly Confirms Alfred Molina's Doctor Octopus Return In The Marvel Threequel

The Hollywood trades have reported that Alfred Molina will return as Doctor Octopus in Spider-Man 3, but Zendaya (MJ) appears to have confirmed that casting by praising her co-star in the threequel!

Spider-Man 3 has cast an endless list of actors if the internet is to be believed, but the Hollywood trades have reliably revealed plans for Jamie Foxx and Alfred Molina to reprise their respective roles as Electro and Doctor Octopus.

Dane DeHaan recently debunked claims he'll be back as the Green Goblin, casting doubt on many of the rumored additions to the Marvel Studios film (like Willem Dafoe, Emma Stone, and even Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire). However, it appears Spider-Man 3 star Zendaya has now confirmed Molina's role in the threequel.

Talking in the video below, the MJ actress says in response to a comment about Molina that "[He's] so nice, by the way!"

They haven't worked on any other projects together, so this might confirm that Doc Ock and MJ share the screen at some point. Then again, it's likely the entire cast of Spider-Man 3 have been locked down in Atlanta, Georgia, so their paths have probably crossed even if they're not in the same scenes.

Rumor has it that some set photos have been snapped of an A-List surprise cast member, so be on the lookout for those on the site if and when they find their way online.

Molina back as Doc Ock is a gift, not a privilege. To be used for the good of mankind.

Wonder how this Peter’s aunt May will do against him. Raimi’s Aunt May got a good shot in

@dracula - to me this was by far the best portrayal of Aunt May.

@Spike101 - You mean Grandma May?

@Tonic24k - Actually she came off seeming a bit younger and active than the frail, old Aunt May of many comics who was often on death's door, at least in early Spider-Man comics. I grew up as the baby of the baby in my mom's family, so for me having an aunt of Aunt May's age didn't seem that odd.

@Tonic24k - the Raimi version was just much closer to the comics I read.

@Tonic24k - Closer to the comics than the MILF vibes they want the current Aunt May to have...
