Another Shot Of The New Suit In Latest THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 Promo Artwork

Some fans weren't happy with the portrayal of their favourite Spidey villains in that leaked poster, but there's no denying that Sony have got the titular characters costume right! Hit the jump for a clearer shot of the suit - originally featured on a magazine cover - just four days before the trailer debuts.

Sony last night Tweeted out a picture - clearly taken on a pretty rubbish good camera phone - of the new banner. When they release the trailer four days from now, will it be as a bootleg rather than an official HD version? Regardless, we can only hope that the studio releases the posters (featuring new looks at Electro, Green Goblin and Rhino) in a proper official manner sooner rather than later!

In The Amazing Spider-Man™ 2, for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.

STARRING:

Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man
Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy
Shailene Woodley as Mary Jane Watson
Jamie Foxx as Max Dillon/Electro
Sally Fields as Aunt May

RELEASE DATE: May 2nd, 2014.

Even though it seems packed, I think this movie will be great! I believe that they have learned from Spider-Man 3's mistakes and with this movie they're trying to do two things. One, try to make this a better film than the second Spider-Man, which was the best out of the original trilogy. Two, prove that a movie can have 3 villains and not be crowded, unlike Spider-Man 3.

See? The movie was just called Rise of Electro overseas. This is official stuff and is just called TASM2. Other than that...can't [frick]ing wait for the trailer.

If they can make multiple villains work in the comics there's no excuse for it to not work in cinema...if I get to see the sinister six on the big screen one day...errrrmahhhhhgodddd

Way better than the first suit in TASM. This suit looks beautiful and amazing.

Like RedHood13 said the movie seems packed but for all.we know Rhino could just be a small character in the movie really only there to introduce the character for the Sinister Six and I highly doubt that the Goblin will be a big part of this movie Norman Osborn maybe but I think the Green Goblin is just there to show the character will be coming up.

Still looks like the Raimi suit to me, excluding the eyes.

Everybody keeps calling this suit the "new suit". This is the exact same suit the Toby McGuire wore. What's so "new" about it? Nothing was wrong with the first suit, I wouldve just altered it and gave people a little something different for the sequel. And the third movie I would give him the symbiote suit, just to switch things up again.

@RedHood13 The problem is that Hollywood doesn't learn from past mistakes. Think about the evil cloud of FF: Rise of the Silver Surfer and the Green Lantern one 4 years later.

@RyGoR It isn't the same thing. When you see villains in comics you already know their story, they don't have to explain you again who they are, what happened to them etc.. In movies they have to introduce the villains so the general audience understands what is going on. And you can't explain 6 origins in a 2-hour movie. Maybe in a sequel, after everyone is introduced, the Sinister 6 will appear. It will be like the Marvel Cinematic Universe but Sony will assemble the villains instead of the heroes.

How can some people say this movie is packed when they're waiting for the Avengers and Xmen sequels? Those have 17 different people with 17 different powers, dealing with 17 different issues. I'll never understand fanboys.

@WruceBayne No, there are some differences...

Also, I'm not sure what to think of this yet. I like Electro and Spidey, but Gobin I can't really make out, and I'm not a huge fan of Optimus Rhino... So I need to see more.
jerryblake
jerryblake - 12/1/2013, 6:14 AM
this movie will be either smash hit (both critically and financially acclaimed) or a total trainwreck (only financially acclaimed). I don't think this one will end up being medicore.

Here's the facts:
- Rhino will devide the audience
- Dane DeHaan gonna steal the show as Harry/Green Goblin
- the suit looks like to be best one yet

ps. Tobey suit looks only good in the pictures. (as i recall) it was way too shiny.
Boyle360
Boyle360 - 12/1/2013, 6:16 AM
It looks similar to the Raimi suit, but it is still a whole new one.
jerryblake
jerryblake - 12/1/2013, 6:20 AM
i think they might have learned from Avengers how to balance the characters. That's why you won't see something like 10 minute Venom cameo just to please the fans
WruceBayne
WruceBayne - 12/1/2013, 6:20 AM
@anthonyEstark- The only difference is that Toby McGuire's belt has 2 rows of webs and Andrew Garfield has 3 rows on his belt. Other than that its no difference.
jerryblake
jerryblake - 12/1/2013, 6:21 AM
guess they are making a reverse "Avengers".
One hero, team of villains.
SuperCat
SuperCat - 12/1/2013, 6:27 AM
The webbing on the suit looks darker. Could be the lighting though. I agree. It's pretty much the Raimi suit. Still looks cool.
MsDarkPhoenix
MsDarkPhoenix - 12/1/2013, 6:33 AM
The only difference in the suit is that Garfield's junk is bigger.

@jerry Hey I said it first!!!

They completely nailed Spidey and Electro's look in this one. Better than I could have ever expected. But until I see the trailer (or better yet, the movie) I don't think they nailed anything else.

This suit is very good. I like the slender shape of Garfield than Maguire, he was so broad. Nice too of course but not for Spidey :P I also the think they bettered the web slinging, can't wait to see Spidey in action! Very nice that Webb chose 35mm this time over digital!!! Hopefully they'll use IMAX after this one!!! :D

@TheDarkPhoenix- lol. Thats an uncomfortable truth.
jerryblake
jerryblake - 12/1/2013, 6:44 AM
not to be hating ... but ... is it me or Tobey's suit was really uncomfortable to wear ? His Spiderman seems to be so tense in those movies ...
WruceBayne
WruceBayne - 12/1/2013, 6:45 AM
@OldGreg- Tell me 3 things that are different. And dont give me that 3 web belt sh*t that I pointed out.
jerryblake
jerryblake - 12/1/2013, 6:50 AM
@Wruce Bayne

- the mask is redesigned
- the pattern (the net ? whatever) is less shiny. Not white, but kinda gold.
- bigger boner
- gloves are not connected to the rest of the suit

WruceBayne
WruceBayne - 12/1/2013, 6:54 AM
@OmegaDaGod- Ok, I'll give you the spider symbol that is a clear difference. But c'mon dude those other two ain't rolling. Was Toby's eyes "ivory shimmer" and Andrew's eyes were "off white bone"? LMAO Get outta here.
jerryblake
jerryblake - 12/1/2013, 6:55 AM
Also (i think) Tobey suit is kinda like wet suit, and Garfield is more spandex.

Not sure. I'm not working in fashion industry.
