Actress Emma Stone, whose portraying Gwen Stacy in Marc Webb's
Spider-Man reboot, recently appeared on
The Jay Leno Show, where she discussed her Golden Globe nomination for
Easy A, as well as trainnig for her new "blonde" role alongside the webslinger.
"I had no idea how out of shape I was," the 22-year-old Stone said of her training for 'Spider-Man'. "I was Cheez Whiz and TV [before], didn't play sports in high school and have no hand-eye coordination," she said, adding she had "no idea how tough" the film's physical nature would be.
In addition to stunts and physical challenges, Emma's ramped up her workouts to maximize oxygen and prevent asthma attacks on set. During filming for "Easy A", Stone went into severe asthma attacks after a scene called for her to simulate sex. Emma also prepped fans for a "labor intensive" film preview and revealed she's working with the same trainer as 'Spider-Man' co-star Andrew Garfield. She says she knows she's "a weenie" but her trainer won't let negativity enter her training sessions. And the confidence from her workout sessions are boiling over.
