At this point, we should have an official announcement from Marvel and Sony revealing the full ensemble cast of Spider-Man: Homecoming now that filming has commenced. However, the Hollywood trades have revealed yet another addition to the film’s ever-growing roster.
According to Variety, actor and stand-up comedian Hannibal Buress will have a role in the highly-anticipated Spider-Man reboot, which is currently shooting in Atlanta, Georgia.
Much like the majority of the Homecoming supporting cast, there is no word on who the Neighbors actor will portray nor do we know if the character will have Marvel Comics roots. Therefore, we’re left to speculate who he’ll play opposite Tom Holland’s Web-slinger, at least until we get that “start of production” press release from Marvel. What do you think?
Directed by Jon Watts, Marvel and Sony’s Spider-Man: Homecoming stars Tom Holland in the title role, with Zendaya, Michael Barbieri, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Kenneth Choi, Martin Starr, Donald Glover, Logan Marshall-Green, Marisa Tomei, Robert Downey Jr., and Michael Keaton filling out the supporting cast. The film is set for release July 7, 2017.
