Andrew Garfield's was more like the comics?! In what way? He was an angry outcast, not a nerd (a take that I liked, but that iteration is based just a few quick in the early comics), the Uncle Ben death was changed completely, they made an error Marvel's been trying to undo for years -- making Pete's parents spies or whatever, part of some big conspiracy.

I like your point about street level crime and the Avengers. Agreed - the filmmakers did that very well in Homecoming.

Re: the disconnect: Kevin Feige hates the TV side & the exec in charge of it (And it has ZIP to do with "how much Charlie Cox costs" -- nope.) What *I'd* like to see is Matt Murdock as DD on patrol, hearing a cry for help, but by the time he gets there, all we see is a guy hanging from a street lamp by webbing. That would be enough.
