UPDATE: DOCTOR STRANGE Composer Michael Giacchino Will Score SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING

According to a user on Reddit, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige took part in a Q&A on Thursday following a Doctor Strange screening and confirmed that Michael Giacchino will provide the score for Spider-Man: Homecoming. After creating the music for the new Marvel Studios fanfare, the composer worked on the Sorcerer Supreme's big screen debut, so him reteaming with the studio makes sense.

"Kevin Feige accidentally let slip that Michael Giacchino will be composing the music for Spiderman: Homecoming," Reddit user JonLuca reveals, infuriatingly forgetting the hyphen in Spider-Man. "He then said 'We announced that right? I really hope we announced that.'" They haven't, and this is a pretty major reveal if true as it gives us an idea of what the upcoming reboot will sound like.

Considering the fact that shooting is over and we're yet to see so much as a single official image from Spider-Man: Homecoming, any new piece of intel is greatly appreciated, and this is definitely an exciting addition to the movie. Giacchino was recently hired to work on Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, so he's clearly very in demand right now, and this is a pretty spectacular acquisition on Marvel's part.

UPDATE: The composer has now confirmed that he will score Spider-Man: Homecoming

@ALegendaryPanda - Is the guy related to Pinocchino? You know... the Disney 'no-strings-on-me ' PG-rated pre-Ultron from 1940.

I've been guessing this would happen since Feige seemed to be hinting at it during comic-con. If this is true... http://media.tenor.co/images/efa1764267c0de32c795e2e40ce7bcf3/raw
