Peter Parker is cast, the director is locked down, and the next step was a script. It's being reported that Sony and Marvel have found a pair of writers for their Spider-Man reboot in Vacation duo

According to Deadline, John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein (Vacation, Horrible Bosses 2, The Incredible Burt Wonderstone, Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs 2) are in talks to pen the script for Sony and Marvel's solo Spider-Man movie which has both Amy Pascal and Kevin Feige on board as producers. Apparently Daley and Goldstein were actually on the director shortlist originally, but the gig went to Jon Watts (Cop Car) in the end.

This reboot will take Peter Parker back to high-school, and though exact plot details are unknown, the tone has been likened to that of a John Hughes movie by Feige. Tom Holland will star as the Webhead after debuting in Captain America: Civil War, and the movie is set for release on July 28, 2017.

Oh hey, Sam Weir from Freaks and Geeks is penning the screenplay!

I personally don't like the Horrible Bosses films, but Marvel's steady hands will steer them right.

Vacation looks fun though.

@LEVITIKUZ You mean Lois "I'M A PULITZER PRIZE WINNING Journalist" Lane David Goyer?

My god the DCEU has a brighter future without him being involved.

Badass Disgust is very reliable.

Plus I hope Iron Fist never happens. @Blackandyellow has talked to much shit about Hellboy and Cleveland to deserve happiness.

Plus dear god these writers are awful. Horrible Bosses 2 and The Incredible Burt Wonderstone were both [frick]ing terrible comedies. Yeah people like the first horrible bosses but that is one movie out of so many shitty ones, if marvel go with these guys i'll be very worried.

Cleveland as a city doesn't suck as bad as Noah's game. Too bad Noah has never beat the Cavs in the Playoffs.

It's not talking shit when it's true. Cleveland is the taint of the U.S. and Hellboy 3 is never going to happen. :)

This makes me very hesitant, considering VACATION doesn't look promising and HORRIBLE BOSSES 2/CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF MEATBALLS 2 were pretty bad.

I hope your happy the Warriors won because they didn't deserve it. Cavs played basically without Kyrie and Kevin Love. Let's have the Warriors take out 2 of their best players.

Plus JR and Shumbert didn't show up as much as they did in the other rounds. LBJ averaged 40 and a triple double putting the team on his back. Only ones who really stepped up were Mozgov, Thompson, and Delly but still not enough with Love and Irving.

Well, I hope they have a good film in them. Horrible Bosses 2 and Cloudy 2 were big steps down and Burt Wonderstone was awful.

If kyrie and love played the Warriors still would have won. Lebron controlled the pace and they played much better defense without those two. Warriors still would have put up more points

Vacation looks awful, Horrible Bosses 2 sucked, Burt Wonderstone was awful, and Cloudy 2 was so inferior to the first movie.
