How A 4th Spider-Man Movie Could Have Worked

How A 4th Spider-Man Movie Could Have Worked

In my opinion it was both stupid and smart to cancel spider-man 4. Find out why and what they could have done.

Spider-man has been a good movie license in its run, with a reboot in the works I would like to say I don't know how to react since spider-man 4 could have worked but based on what we saw it didn't look like it was going to. I mean come on, the Vulture? Really? With the vulturess? I'm sorry but that just sounds stupid to me. Here is a list of things they could have done.

1. Kept it in the same timeline.

Now here's the thing this might have been just a rumour but there were plans for spidey to be in the future and have a kid. Why? That's just dumb, it didn't work in Superman Returns it wouldn't work in Spider-man.

2. The Lizard as the villain.
Now this might be what there doing in the new reboot, and I'm happy about that but still the fact remains is that Doc Connors was in 2 movies before this one would have come out. So why have The Vulture as the villain? The Lizard could have been scaring people and putting people in the hospital and then Spidey has to stop him. That would almost be close to my perfect Spidey movie if they didn't screw venom up in Spider-Man 3.

3.A love triangle.

A love triangle between Mary Jane and Gwen Stacy is somewhat what the comic focuses on in the 60s. I know they introduced Gwen in Spider-man 3, but there was no real love triangle, more of Peter being a d*ck to MJ.

4. Focus on Peters life more then the villains.

The Thing about the Spider-San comics is that you could relate to this person although that did happen in Spidey 1 and 2 it didn't happen so much in Spidey 3 and once again the reboot is getting this right hopefully. Focus on Pete and his home life not all the villains.

And that's my list I hope you enjoyed it leave a comment please.

I just thought of this: If Marvel had the rights to both Spider-man and Daredevil, they could use the "alligators in the sewers" line from Daredevil and that could be a linking easter egg to the Lizard in Spider-man... Only if...

Yeah I am sure that Sir Ben Kingsley would have just sucked as Vulture. Not.

John Malkovich was going to be Vulture.
Sounds like a good idea, but it is spoiled by teh "Vultress" and another twist involving Uncle Ben as if they hadn't beat the subject up more than CNN already.

Ben Kingsley was originally going to be the Vulture in Spider-Man III. He and Sandman met in prison. The story sounds very classic comic.

Malkovich was the pick for IV I know.

Spiderman 4 wouldn't have been a good idea, if they hadn't [frick]ed up the third one so bad. They should've the love triangle on the second movie, so its keeps the pace heading to the third one, with history between Perte, Gwen, and MJ. Lizard should've been introduced in the third movie too, but im glad they'll put him early into the reboot
