SPIDER-MAN: ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE's Live-Action Cameo Has Seemingly Been Revealed In Leaked Still

We've been hearing rumblings about a live-action Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse cameo for months, and a newly released promotional image finally confirms which franchise the sequel will pay a visit to.

Several months ago, it was rumoured that Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will feature at least one live-action cameo.

Unsurprisingly, speculation immediately started running rampant about Tom Holland swinging into the sequel, but a later report claimed otherwise. In that, the big surprise was said to be an appearance from Venom supporting character Mrs. Chen (Peggy Lu), a fun, albeit somewhat underwhelming, nod to the live-action side of the Spider-Verse.

Now, reliable leaker @Cryptic4KQual (via Toonado.com) has shared a screenshot from a TV spot which not only confirms the rumours but shows The Spot crossing paths with Mrs. Chen while briefly visiting her reality.

This will clearly be a new aspect of the villain's powers which make him a threat to the entire Multiverse. It looks like he's buying (or offering) some "Venomint" gum, though it's hard to say whether this is going to open the door to Eddie Brock himself showing up. If a cameo that massive is on the way, it's likely to be in Beyond the Spider-Verse

Take a look at the leaked screenshot below along with an officially released clip.

Miles Morales returns for the next chapter of the Oscar-winning Spider-Verse saga, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. After reuniting with Gwen Stacy, Brooklyn's full-time, friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man is catapulted across the Multiverse, where he encounters a team of Spider-People charged with protecting its very existence.

But when the heroes clash on how to handle a new threat, Miles finds himself pitted against the other Spiders and must redefine what it means to be a hero so he can save the people he loves most.

The movie stars Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld, Jake Johnson, Issa Rae, Daniel Kaluuya, Karan Soni, Jason Schwartzman, Brian Tyree Henry, Luna Lauren Velez, Greta Lee, Rachel Dratch, Jorma Taccone, Shea Whigham, and Oscar Isaac.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is set to be released in theaters on June 2, 2023.

Considering Into the Spiderverse was the Venom closing credits scene, is this really that far of a stretch and not more of a reminder.

If Sony is playing fair with Marvel Studios, Perhaps the live action to animated or vice versa will be an important piece for Secret Wars. We saw Strange and America enter an animated universe but they themselves became animated briefly. So it's interesting to see Sony attempting a Roger Rabbit style Spider-Verse.

@dracula - I hope they at least try to get the original actors wherever possible.
In the first movie they even got some of the original comics artists involved for Miles and Spider-Gwen's universes.

I bear witness to this terrible take on Venom appear in better marvel franchises like the MCU and the animated Spiderverse movies.

Lame, but not surprising. Her forced slightly larger part in the sequel was a dud (for me).
