James Franco Talks Spider-Man 4 And Offers Reboot Advice!

"No, there were no plans," said Franco when asked about a potential return for Harry Osborn.

"Sam Raimi just had a big birthday," he continued. "All of his friends made little videos for it. I did one about not being in 'Spider-Man 4,' because they were making it at the time. He called me up. He loved it and said, 'I wish I had a part for you in 'Spider-Man 4,' but I don't."

As for any advice for the future cast members of the SPider-Man reboot he said to, "bring a lot of reading material or your DVD set of 'Lost,' because when you do the effects you'll be sitting around for a long time."

What's with the Paris with Love ad??? I can't delete it and it covers the article! It annoyingly obnoxious! The RSS feeds are hard enough to navigate around.

It seems to me that Franco is a real stoner! LOL But his advice is still good though having nothing to do with a Spiderman movie per se. The interviewer was probably fishing for that, but he got a stoner instead.

lol, thats funny. you're talking about a movie where a bunch of people think Doc Ock didn't die...yet it was clear to see that he did. the way i see it, is if people would have been okay with Doc Ock returning, then they should have no problem with hary returning, we saw BOTH of the die.

not that it even matters anymore, lol

I assume that since I'm the only one making the comment, CDB, your comment was directed at me. Well, I don't follow celebrities around to hear every word that comes out of their mouth. This is one of the few times that I have heard James Franco speak. The way he's talking to the interviewer sounds like he just blazed up right before they started . Maybe Pineapple Express got him started on a steady diet of chronic. Possible?

Franco needs to be in more movies - the guy is an amazing actor! It's a real pity they never really handled him as Harry all that well...it would have been great to have seen him go full on Green Goblin! :)

oh i didn't mean to direct it at you personally, and meant no disrespect. yeah, you're comment is what made me think though. but its true, most people always thought of him as a good actor, but then he did Pineapple Express and now he has this pothead stigma over his head. i don't know if he smokes or not, but it was a part he played in a movie! it doesn't mean he smokes in real life. i personally could't care less, i smoke on a daily basis, so it doesn't bother me either way :)

fotc, you seem to have everyone's number. You got me! Its true, I've only been exposed to DARE videos. I've never been around "the pot". I was born in a glass house. Yes, I regularly post here, thus I must be part of the "e-clique", I guess.

Sometimes when lots of people have similar opinions on things, often they become friends. And sometimes when someone (a minority view) comes in with a differing a view, then yes, the others will contribute (gang up) their own.

Second, why would I care (or why do you?)about being friendly to James Franco? He's got an army of Hollywood friends. He doesn't need my friendship to validate him. BTW, your unfriendly remark of "goof" didn't go unnoticed.

ppl gang up? I've never seen that....and a lot of us that have been coming here for a few years now do have the same views on things, but I don't think anyone means to "gang up" on anyone and not all of the regulars agree all the time. for example me and Shaman disagree from time to time and we have both been regulars for along time, and besides there are few of the originals left anymore.

gtrman-- turn on pop up blocker and turn off cookies. firefox has a slew of apps that bloc everything. I started using them a few months back and it has made my entire surfing experience so much better. I even have encrypted emails.
