Andrew Garfield is once again doing the press rounds to discuss a new movie (Netflix's Tick, Tick... Boom!), and he's inevitably being asked more questions about Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Recently, Tom Holland described the movie as "three generations coming together," and The Amazing Spider-Man star was asked about those comments head-on by ExtraTV. "I’m not going to blink, I’m not going to do anything!" he responded after being asked to blink once if he'll be part of the threequel. Blinking repeatedly, he added: "I’m just going to do this now."

Despite that non-answer, Garfield was quick to praise Marvel Studios' vision for Spidey. "I really love what that whole team have done with the character. I really love what Jon Watts has done, what Tom has done, what Amy Pascal and Kevin Feige have done with this incarnation of the character, and they have given it so much soul and so much fun and joy and it is so true to the character."

"I will say this: I’m very excited to see what they’ve done with their third instalment," he added before joking: "I blinked a little bit, but it was totally accidental. I take no ownership over it!"

At the same premiere, Garfield had a very different response when a fan said they hope to see him in Spider-Man: No Way Home. In the video below, he simply gives a teasing, "We'll see."

I gotta respect his commitment to sticking to the ambiguity. By now I’d have definitely caved lol

@cyclopsprime - Toby can kick rocks. I'd prefer that it was just Tom, but AG is 10x better than Toby.

@WruceBayne - lol a lot of fans would be super mad n blame Marvel when they never confirmed anything anyway. Honestly i’d be happy if it’s just Charlie Cox

@cyclopsprime - Tobey is the better Parker/Spiderman (in better movies, with better villain's - the whole Raimi-verse is just better). BUT, Garfield is a cooler guy who clearly loved being Spiderman. So I have to admit... I'm more excited to see someone want to be there, than just doing it for the paycheck.

@WruceBayne -

Honestly I think that would break the internet because it would be so out of left field.

Of course it’s doubtful because Sony has Tom hardy

@HulkisHorny - I just feel like we’ve heard about every other Spidey villain besides Venom from the Raimi verse. It’s oddly quiet about him.

i still wonder if this is a tester of sorts to see if people will welcome one or the other back as the MCU spider-man, with holland coming to the end of his contract, even tho there are a million spider-man stories to tell it is all a bit samey so far.

with a more mature spider-man he can take the helm and have some leadership responsibilities, even tho maguire and garfield are getting on a bit we only see them without the mask , i could see garfield potentially returning for good as this universes spidey whilst holland goes over to sony and they do whatever they want with the younger version.

or on the flip side they could revive a spiderverse with one of these 2 over there, be interesting to see how it all plays out after this movie.

@demonizer84 - what if they keep all three in the MCU or Sonyverse? Each in their respective universes (now that it is an acceptable thing) and occasionally they get together for a multiverse crossover...

"if you ever need me, just call" - Tobey to Holland
"we got your back, Spidey's gotta stick together" - Garfield to Holland

@JonC - possibly, i mean so far this new phase of movies aint set the world on fire, i didnt care for black widow and it didnt offer much anyways, shang chi iv not watched yet, and the eternals is a bit meh, they have to build to something as a thanos level threat, looks to be kang in some variant but its not exactly getting me excited like the infinity saga did .

and to top end game they are going to have to do something and i see them going a similar route that will either bring in the x-men and mutants from an alternate universe or awaken the X gene at the end of it, so bringing in people from different universes is an option, but i think with the spideys they may want to take different routes, wouldnt be surprised if one of them died tbf, and id put my money on maguire of the 3, just with garfield being a bit younger and still be able to go on a decent run if they wanted to keep him around, plus with his loss of gwen it gives people something to relate to latch onto as in teh main universe a lot of the avengers are dealing with loss too.
