SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME - Daily Bugle Video Teases Electro And Sandman's Marvel Cinematic Universe Arrival

The trailers and promos for Spider-Man: No Way Home have shown a lot of the wall-crawler's battle with Doctor Octopus, but relatively little of what happens when he faces Electro and Sandman (at least outside of that final battle). However, the latest TikTok video from the official Daily Bugle account reveals the initial reaction to the sinister arrival of these villains in New York City.

"We've been experiencing some wildly unseasonable weather in the Big Apple lately, and there has to be more to this," Midtown High School student Betty Brant explains. "I've experienced some intense thunderstorms in NYC before, but crazy lightning wasn't on this week's weather report. Last time I checked, the nearest desert wasn't close enough to cause a sandstorm in midtown."

While she speculates that "supervillains are back," it seems the world is currently unaware of Electro and Sandman as Betty later adds, "According to my boss, J. Jonah Jameson, these crazy weather events are the work of the 'Spider-Menace,' trying to make it look like supervillains are to blame."

These videos are great fun, and you can check out the latest effort below:

♬ SpiderMan No Way Home in theaters December 17 - The Daily Bugle

"For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero's identity is revealed, bringing his Super Hero responsibilities into conflict with his normal life and putting those he cares about most at risk," reads the new synopsis. "When he enlists Doctor Strange’s help to restore his secret, the spell tears a hole in their world, releasing the most powerful villains who’ve ever fought a Spider-Man in any universe. Now, Peter will have to overcome his greatest challenge yet, which will not only forever alter his own future but the future of the Multiverse."

Among the film's confirmed cast members are Tom Holland, Zendaya, Benedict Cumberbatch, Jon Favreau, Jacob Batalon, Marisa Tomei, J. B. Smoove, Benedict Wong, J.K. Simmons, Alfred Molina, and Jamie Foxx. Based on the new trailer, we can now add Willem Dafoe, Thomas Haden Church, and Rhys Ifans to that impressive list of actors (fingers crossed for Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield).

Spider-Man: No Way Home arrives in U.S. on December 17 and in the UK on December 15.

Sony should allow Marvel to make these about the events of every future MCU project.

@FinnishDude - well Marvel already did with the WHIH news reports with Age of Ultron and Ant-Man. Guess there is a reason they stopped doing it

I really wonder if Thomas Haden Church and Rhys Ifans are in the movie.

So far it looks like their characters will be only CGI monsters.

@UXASIS - we did see an older Thomas Hayden church wearing the sandman costume. Rhys ifans is still up in the air, but I'm sure he's at least voicing lizard.

Considering Marvel studios have a real respect for
The source materials and that’s their whole shtick it’s still weird to me that they took names from Spider-Man’s supporting cast and just allocated them to random arbitrary characters who have nothing to do with their name sakes. Ned, Jason etc. And Betty basically looks like Gwen now right?

That video was amusing. A guess an internship there is better than no internship at all. At least they found more reasons to use this actress/character in an amusing way. Cool.

I watched the remaining four videos and they were amusing. Tik-Tok is a "thing", so the MCU is using it. Good for them.

I "do" miss the WHIH, though. I guess this show ended when the "connection" between the MCU and the ABC series got "dis-connected".
