SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME - Peter Parker Gets Some Spectacular Help In Fan-Edit Of First Poster

The first poster for Spider-Man: No Way Home saw the MCU's Peter Parker squaring off with Doctor Octopus and the Green Goblin, but in this edited version, a couple of familiar faces lend a (sticky) hand.

Late on Sunday evening, Sony Pictures dropped the first poster for Spider-Man: No Way Home featuring Tom Holland's wall-crawler facing down Doctor Octopus with the Green Goblin closing in.

However, a clever fan-edit has now been shared online with the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Spider-Man receiving a helping hand from two familiar masked faces. Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield's Peter Parker Variants are there to provide our Spidey with some much-needed backup, something we're definitely anticipating seeing in the threequel when it lands next month.

Despite multiple leaks in recent weeks, Sony and Marvel Studios still haven't revealed whether the two previous big screen Spider-Men are going to appear. We're hoping that could change with the release of the next trailer (the wait is proving to be agonising for fans), but it's possible their return is being saved for the movie itself in order to truly "surprise" viewers.

"For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero is unmasked and no longer able to separate his normal life from the high-stakes of being a Super Hero," reads the movie's synopsis. "When he asks for help from Doctor Strange the stakes become even more dangerous, forcing him to discover what it truly means to be Spider-Man."

Among the film's confirmed cast members are Tom Holland, Zendaya, Benedict Cumberbatch, Jon Favreau, Jacob Batalon, Marisa Tomei, J. B. Smoove, Benedict Wong, Alfred Molina, and Jamie Foxx.

Spider-Man: No Way Home arrives in U.S. and UK theaters on December 17.

If this ends up being three Tom Holland variants, I'm going to be severely upset lol

@bobevanz - Idk they could easily say these are variants of him but it’s still Tobey and Andrew as we know them. They’re just different versions of one another and they could argue about who is the prime version.

@mastakilla39 - no white vision was ok until Vision, or rather, Hallucination, did NOT merge with him

@bobevanz - I mean theyre by definition variants. If they’re not from this main MCU timeline then they’d have to be a variant. Their timelines just happened to be seen by us already.

@mastakilla39 - they always thought it's Mephisto.

There are hundreds of edits made the last 24 hours.
Not really worth an article

@OptimusCrime - I just photoshopped the Tiger King into a picture of Pattison as Batman. Can I get an article?

Agreed - this is ridiculous. I guess they will take the clicks however they can get them, even if they are hate-clicks.

there is so much hype for this film that ita going to be impossible to live up to everyone's expectation now. Lets hope it satisfies the majority.

@mastakilla39 - listening to people complain about their own expectations not being met for a film that never guaranteed it is gonna be hell. I’m on the side I could care less if they are in it and let’s just wait and see cause we all have are rumors and “leaks” It’ll be more than Wandavision level bad though if they aren’t involved even though the outrage wouldn’t make sense

@mastakilla39 - really? Like what? People are expecting Tobey and Andrew and are hoping for Daredevil. What else are people expecting? Venom? Maybe Vulture and Rhino?

@Frshcoupe - pretty much will people be happy if it's like iron man 3 a pretty good with a twist that either makes or breaks you. what if there is only 1 spider man and the big reveal is only the sinister 6.

I don’t even like the original poster, but these edits always look so lazy... and don’t make a lot of sense. Like why are Andrew and Tobey not looking in oppsoite directions and not looking at Doc Ock in the center like Tom is? You can also tell that they got Tobeys Spidey picture from the PS4 game and Andrews Spidey from a Poster (I mean even Sony got lazy and just used the last shot of the trailer for Tom).

I don’t even know why I’m nitpicking this to shreds, they aren’t even as bad as people making fake clips of the three together and labeling it as “[LEAKED]” “[OFFICIAL FIRST LOOK]” (and your average fan is easily fooled by these)

The poster should have three Spider-Man on it,I bet they reveal them in the next trailer.
